3 Best Rooftop Bars in Casablanca: Sunset Views, Drinks & Prices (2026)
There’s something about watching the sun melt into the Atlantic from a rooftop with a cold drink in your hand that makes you think: yes, this is why I live here.
Casablanca’s rooftop scene has exploded in recent years. New spots open every season, each trying to outdo the last with bigger views and louder DJs. But not all of them are worth your time or money. Some have stunning views but terrible service. Others nail the cocktails but the atmosphere falls flat.
After testing more rooftops than is probably advisable, these three are the ones I keep coming back to. Each offers something different — a skyline, an ocean, a vibe — and together they give you the best of Casablanca’s summer evenings.
1. Lucy in the Sky — The Skyline Stunner
The name is perfect: Lucy in the Sky feels like you’re floating above the city. Perched on the 21st and 22nd floors of the Capital Tower in the Casablanca Finance City district, this is hands-down the most dramatic skyline view in the city. Through floor-to-ceiling glass panels, you see modern Casablanca stretching out in every direction — the CFC’s sleek towers, the city lights twinkling at dusk, and on a clear day, you can even spot the Hassan II Mosque in the distance.
Lucy in the Sky is a concept by Le Cabestan (one of Casablanca’s most established restaurant groups), and it shows in the attention to detail. The outdoor terrace wraps around the building, and when the DJ starts playing as the sun goes down, the energy shifts from relaxed lunch spot to buzzing evening destination.
The drink menu is well-curated — classic cocktails, creative signature mixes, and a solid wine selection. The food leans Mediterranean with tapas-style sharing plates. But let’s be honest: you come here for the view.
What I love: The scale of the panorama. There’s no other spot in Casablanca where you can see this much of the city at once. When the DJ set kicks in at sunset, the combination of music, light, and altitude creates an atmosphere that feels genuinely electric.

2. Birds Rooftop — My Favorite Sunset Spot
This one is personal. Birds Rooftop — also known as Jacqueline Brasserie — is my go-to spot for watching the sun disappear into the Atlantic. And I’ve seen a lot of Casablanca sunsets.
Located on Boulevard de la Corniche, Birds sits above the Brasserie by Manaos and offers an unobstructed view of the ocean. Unlike Lucy in the Sky’s urban panorama, this is all about the Atlantic: the endless horizon, the waves catching the last light, the salty breeze that tells you summer is here.
What makes Birds truly special for me is the live saxophone at dusk. There’s a moment — usually right as the sun touches the water — when the saxophonist starts playing, and the entire rooftop goes quiet for just a second. Everyone pauses, drink in hand, watching the same sunset. I’ve brought friends here who don’t even like rooftop bars, and they’ve all left saying it was the highlight of their Casablanca trip.
The menu is focused on bar food — tapas, sharing plates, and snacks designed to accompany drinks rather than serve as a full dinner.

3. Le Septième Ciel — Elegance Above the City
If Lucy in the Sky is the flash and Birds is the soul, Le Septième Ciel is the elegance. The name means “Seventh Heaven,” and the restaurant lives up to it. Located atop a building in the CIL area, it was designed by architect Fabrice Maurel with inspiration from the French Côte d’Azur. You feel it immediately: neutral tones, lush Mediterranean vegetation, a central fireplace inside, and a 300-square-meter terrace that wraps the building with panoramic city views.
This is another personal favorite. Where Birds captures the raw beauty of an ocean sunset, Le Septième Ciel captures the refined pleasure of a city glowing beneath you. The lighting is warm and considered. The staff moves with a quiet efficiency that makes you feel looked after without feeling managed.
The menu is international with a French Mediterranean backbone — think beautifully presented tuna tartare, lemon tart, and dishes that prioritize quality ingredients over portion size. The desserts are a highlight, starting from around 90 MAD.
What I love: The sophistication without pretension. Le Septième Ciel manages to be elegant and refined without making you feel like you have to perform. It’s the rooftop I recommend when someone asks for a “special evening” in Casablanca.

Tips for Rooftop Season in Casablanca
- Best months: June through September is peak rooftop season. Warm evenings, long golden hours, and that Atlantic breeze that makes outdoor dining perfect. May and October can work too, but bring a layer.
- Arrive before sunset: The best terrace spots fill up fast on summer evenings. Aim for 6:00–6:30 PM to claim your view before the golden hour crowd arrives.
- Dress code matters: All three spots skew smart-casual to upscale. Flip-flops and shorts won’t cut it, especially at Lucy in the Sky.
- Reservations: Always book ahead on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. Weeknights are more relaxed and often just as beautiful.
- Wind: The Atlantic breeze can be surprisingly strong, especially at Birds on the Corniche. Bring a light jacket or scarf.
- Smoking: Smoking is common at Casablanca’s bars and restaurants, including rooftop terraces. If this bothers you, ask for a table upwind or choose indoor seating.
Casablanca isn’t famous for nightlife in the way Marrakech is. But that’s because Casablanca does something different: it gives you evenings. Long, beautiful, unhurried evenings where the city glows beneath you, the Atlantic stretches to infinity, and a well-made cocktail tastes even better when the sunset is free.
